Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling and Therapy

Degree Program: Master of Arts in Counselor Education (MCFCT) 60 cr.

The Department of Counselor Education at The College of New Jersey has been continuously accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) since 1991.

We have expanded the “Community Counseling: Human Services” program (CPSE) into a 60-credit program in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling and Therapy. As of July 13, 2013, this innovative program has been approved by CACREP and accredited for an 8-year period through October 31, 2021.

Graduates from this 60-credit program will have met the educational requirements for licensure as both a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
