Program-Specific Requirements
National Standardized Admission Test Requirement
Applicants to the MEd Educational Leadership program are required to take the GRE unless they already hold a master’s or another high-level degree. *Applicants to the MEd Educational Leadership: Instruction program (The RTC program) are not required to take the GRE if their undergraduate GPA is 3.0 or higher.
Teacher Certification and Educational Experience
Applicants to the Educational Leadership programs are required to provide a teaching certificate or evidence of successful educational experience under a valid provisional or standard New Jersey or equivalent out-of-state certificate (NJAC 6A:9-12.5). At least three completed years of successful teaching or educational experience, as noted above, at the time of application – required for admission to programs leading to principal/supervisor licensure.
