This 30-credit post-master’s certificate provides the courses and internship experiences needed for an NJ Principal Administrative Certificate*. Covering all aspects of school leadership, including those in the TCNJ Supervisor Certificate, the program emphasizes building effective learning communities and allows you to gain the skills to effectively manage schools. Once you finish, you can apply for initial certification as a New Jersey school principal.

Who Should Pursue This Program?

Our post-master’s certificate is a good fit if you’re a certified teacher or school staff member with at least three years of full-time experience and a master’s degree and want to become a certified school leader. The online coursework accommodates busy working professionals, and synchronous video meetings create a sense of community among students and faculty. You'll create a schedule that maximizes your district's tuition reimbursement. *Applicants interested in leadership positions outside of New Jersey should consult Certification Information by State.
