First-year and transfer applicants may apply for accelerated bachelor's to master's degrees. Admission into the graduate portion of the program is based on performance at the undergraduate level. Current undergraduate TCNJ students may be eligible for an accelerated program by meeting program requirements and should consult with the intended program’s coordinator for more information.
Who Should Pursue This Program?
If you’ve already earned your bachelor’s degree and are a working professional, this program offers the flexibility you need. While many students are part-time, full-time students can complete the degree in less than two years. You can also earn credit for an independent study, research conducted with a faculty member, and independent research culminating in a master’s thesis.
Be well-prepared for careers in areas including teaching, business, human resources, writing/editing/publishing, web/social media content, public relations/marketing, librarianship, arts management, the nonprofits world, and government.
The program is led by dedicated faculty who are active scholars with diverse research interests and expertise. Our classes teach strong writing, research, and analytical skills that transfer to various professional careers.
We consider applications on a space-available basis. You can apply up to and including the first day of the semester.
The Department of English provides curriculum and requirements.
