Program at a Glance

Learn to develop health interventions and evaluate health care outcomes for individuals and families. Through a combination of classes and clinical experiences, you can complete this 30-credit-minimum degree program in two academic years of full-time study plus two summers. Completing this program prepares you to sit for a Family Nurse Practitioner national certification exam.

Who Should Pursue This Program?

Consider the MSN – Family Nurse Practitioner program if you’re a BSN-prepared nurse midwife or nurse practitioner who wants to enhance your knowledge to better focus on the health of individuals at all ages.

  • Preadmission Interview: Please contact the program coordinator at 609-771-2509.
  • Transcripts Addendum: Applicants to MSN Nursing programs must be RNs with a Bachelor's degree in nursing from an NLN or CCNE-accredited program. Prerequisite courses must include an undergraduate statistics course, an undergraduate health assessment course, or an approved equivalent.
  • National Standardized Admission Test: Applicants to MSN Nursing programs are required to take the GRE unless they meet the criteria of the waiver policy.  The GRE is waived for individuals seeking post-master's certificate programs. Graduate Admission Testing Information and Waivers
