Who Should Pursue This Program?

This 30-credit program is ideal if you’re a certified, working K–12 teacher who wants to either earn an initial master's degree or move to master’s +15 or 30 levels on the salary guide.

Careers

Our graduates are not only well-prepared for advanced roles with additional responsibilities but also typically able to advance on the salary guide. This program is not a transition to school administration and does not offer additional certification.

For your application to be considered complete, you must submit the online application as well as all supplemental documents.

  • National Standardized Admission Test Requirement:  Applicants to the MEd Educational Leadership: Instruction program are exempt from taking the GRE unless their undergraduate GPA is below 3.0.
  • Teacher Certification and Educational Experience: Applicants to the MEd Educational Leadership: Instruction program must provide a teaching certificate or evidence of successful educational experience under a valid provisional or standard New Jersey or equivalent out-of-state certificate (NJAC 6A:9-12.5). This program is open to working K-12 teachers at any point in their careers.
